Riverview Animal Hospital - Chippewa Falls, WI - Dr. Carmi Simonson

Dr. Carmi "Carmiapple Simonsays" Simonson

Dr. Carmi Simonson is a long time Chippewa Falls resident having graduated Chippewa Falls High School in 1997 (She held the breast stroke record for the Chi-Hi swim team in 1995). She then attended UW-River Falls for her undergraduate work before getting accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of  Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2004.  She practiced in Eau Claire as a small animal veterinarian for 10 years before starting her own clinic in December of 2015.  Her special interests are pain management, acupuncture, surgery and ultrasound.  She is married and has 2 sons as well as a labrador retriever named Antigone, and a cat named Norris. After a tough day at the office, she can be found watering her ducks. Really loves a good botfly case (don't we all?).

Dr. Abby Engel

Dr. Abby Engel grew up in Baldwin, WI, and worked at a clinic in Hudson during high school. She graduated from Hillsdale College in 2018, then went on to veterinary school at UW-Madison, graduating in 2022.  Her first job as a veterinarian was at a small animal practice in Eau Claire, and she is excited to be back in the Chippewa Valley area helping the wonderful people and their pets here. Besides veterinary medicine, Dr. Engel has a minor in music and plays piano and cello. Her other hobbies include reading, canoeing, camping, and shooting sports. However, the majority of her free time is spent walking and entertaining her miniature poodle mix, Theo.

Dr. Becky Lee

Dr. Becky Lee received two bachelor of science degrees at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and then went on to get her veterinary degree at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. She returned to Fairbanks and practiced small animal medicine there for 10 years. In 2001, she and her husband decided that it was time to thaw out in a warmer climate and moved to Eau Claire. Dr. Becky worked at a small animal clinic in Eau Claire for 17 years before joining the amazing staff at Riverview Animal Hospital. Her favorite part of being a vet is connecting with clients and their pets through wellness and preventative health. She currently has four pets (Two cats (Twyla and Linus C. Curd) and two dogs (Jenny and Sunny), all golden) which she refers to as the Gold Dust Gang. In her free time she enjoys cutting up fabric (and sometimes sewing it back together), cycling around the area (usually to a good lunch spot), and traveling anywhere!
